So i'm sitting here in class I think the teacher is talking but I'm not sure because i'm sitting on Snowest the entire time. I'm dreaming of riding snowmobile when I get home but I can't because there is no snow. SOMEONE PLEASE TALK TO ME!!!!:eek::eek:

try the same job for 20+ years Log off and pay attention !Maybe you'll make more money later in life and be able to ride whenever you like !I know I sound like your dad but you will never regret a job well done !

Hmmm, it is an addiction. Try a full time job of averaging 50+ hours a week and going to school full-time at the same time(finishing my masters). It can be done, learn the art of multitasking haha.

I do agree tho, get what ya can now from the class because surfing the net will for sure make you forget everything that the teacher says....

Make sure you get that HW done before the meeting!!!!!

You could just keep surfing the net during class, flunk out and enjoy having 2 jobs to take care of your wife and kids only remembering what it was like riding in fresh pow....and hoping you can someday show your kids what it's like to feel that rush...

Or log off, learn what you can and worry about it when the snow actuall hits.

If you are not going to pay attention, do the teacher a favor and leave the classroom.... Do yourself a favor too, cause you are just wasting time.

No doubt. Nut up for 2 or 4 years and then get on with fun. Well everyoen around me was partying in school I studied and stayed clean for 2 years. Then when everyone was working extra hard in school I was making good money and partying.

You'll have plenty of time to surf SW after school and if you get a sweet job like a x-ray tech you can play with broken bones and get paid to surf, kinda like I'm doing now:D

I use to try that in high school and the teachers got all bent out of shape. I would do it all the time college though. no one cared.

tough crowd.

hell i show up 1 time a week for class then write the exams and tests. havent failed anything and get good marks. my proffs dont care as they know if i dont know the content when im in the field. i pay for it so its my choice.

I would pay attention more if the teacher new what he was talking about. He confuses the class more then what he teaches us. It's pretty bad when I meet up with one of my old high school teachers and he teaches me more about what we are learning then my college teacher. I have never had a teacher that actually confuses me more, I do way better in the class by learning it on my own.

I also do know what it's like to work 50+ a week. I am currently working a full time job I work nights and go to school.

I do the same thing... postwhore SW all night. If I didn't know most of the material already and set the curve on the exams I probably would pay more attention.

I had a teacher that absolutely hated me... i'd come in 20-30mins late, sit down in the back of the class (next to the only outlet in the room), plug in and screw around the whole night. Never paid attention. He'd always call on me for answers to questions he asked, I'd tell him the 2nd derivative was toaster squared over delicious cake... he didn't find it nearly as amusing as I did.

Then the first test came. That was the first time I put my computer away during class. First one done, grabbed my stuff and left. The next week I show up late as usual, he hands me my test with a "63" on it and congratulates me for the high score. I laughed, thought he was kidding... but yeah, that was the high score. Every other test he gave was like that.

That's the way it is in most of the other classes... screw around online, sorta pay attention, enough to correct them when they're wrong... and still get the highest grade in the class on finals.

So.... If you're at the top of the class, I wouldn't worry about it. If you're struggling, pack up the computer and pay attention. One guy that was in my class played WoW all night, he had no idea what he was doing when test time came. He is now two semesters behind.

And remember... D's get Degrees.

What do they call the guy that finishes last in med school? Doctor.

my question is what kinda job are you looking to get...they are gonna be few and far between in the near future...choose wisely and may the force be with you

i actually have this same class with 06 rmk 900. he is right this teacher is so boring and it is hard to pay attention inclass. he cant ever talk on one thing with out loosing his train of thought and where he was going with it. he confuses everybody cause he tells us one thing and it changes the next time he talks about it.

I'm going to school for Power Plant Operation. The class we are in right now is AC Motors and I have been taking them apart sence I was five I have always liked working with electricity. Thats why I don't pay attention in this class, I already know everything we are talking about. My teacher is even going to let me take the final early. Any other class that actually talk about the plant all be toned in then.

My uncle used to teach in Mandan a few years ago -- you're lucky he's not still there; I hear he was a real harda$$.:beer;:D

i feel ur pain

i try not to do the same thing but its hard, im an athlete at uw also, so riding is almost impossible during these 4 years. i started riding right before college, got hooked, then i have to wait 4 years to really dig into it. lifes a bi*&ch hang in there bro

just walked out of a final and finished the class with an A+. i showed up for the midterm review and the final review. missed 15 classes and still got a high mark. some classes are a joke to go to.
