I have'nt seen many cat 1000's run. Most of the ones I run with have the 192 horse slp set up and won't beat the ski-doo 800 in deep snow. My 800 with nos is supposed to be the same hp and they won't even come close. That weight is a big penalty.

Ya, ran with an M1000 with the SLP kit and controller, etc, a couple weeks ago,, I have rode with other M1000s, which ran as expected,, but this one climbed very well, much better than any other I have seen, and way better than mine,,, he said he'd never had a problem with an XP and from what I witnessed on on the hill from both his and XPs, I believe him,,, I rode with many XPs and M1000s in Sicamouse and area,, this one did impress/depress me, as I'm not a cat fan , but 192hp (? advertised HP) with minimal mods ($1000) is pretty nice, I wish doo would bring out a sled in the 1000 class,,, specially as cat will likely have that 1L in a new chassis very soon.

I'm going M-1, there is no competition for a piped reeded sled with 192 hp on pump gas. It weighs 121 dry in 08 and they dropped 10 lbs with electronic reverse in 09 and a pipe is around 13 lbs. That's around 500 lbs with around 200 hp, for $12,000 with floats on all 4's, I'm in!!
