The satellite China hit was not traveling at the speed this satellite was. And from my understanding, China did not do an "intercept" of the craft whereas the US was able to achieve that. Apparently there's a huge difference between what was done last night and what was done a year ago.

From what I remember the US one was not in high orbit it was a lot lower. I have no idea on the speed part. But I thought the altitude was close.

I dont think they even used the sat before it took a sh!t!!!!! it most likely had the lastest cams and spy stuff,,, but remember they where worried about your safety

The satellite was traveling at about 17K mph. ICBMs are much slower. They are travelling at around 15K mph. The vessel that I am purchasing agent for was involved somehow in the process. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea-based_X-band_Radar
