Looking for some clutch belts that are junk... need to make some ski breaks for going down the hills. Let me know.

I've got a few (from my pre-yamaha days :D )

Give me a call and we can meet up.

:confused:What are these ski brakes you speak of?
Or am I now the focus of a joke for asking???

No joke. You can put a loop of clutch belt or a loop of chain around each ski and it will allow you to go much slower downhill then just trying to use the sled brake. I have seen them work a couple of times now, and they work really good.

They kept w8tn4u and rookierdr from dropping into Sippy Hole at Gold Creek on Sunday.

Life savers for sure. Or I guess sled savers. :D

The easiest solution is to take your spare belt and twist in into a figure 8, then double back onto itself (basically making a double loop) and slip both loops over your ski loop.

The newer wide skis do not allow you to do the figure 8 thing.

Go with the chains dude... And to think, it was only a few months ago that I was riding with "flatlander ruffy" and he was looking pretty anxious when we "chained-up"

that was funny.....then it was a stuck fest to see who would go down first....LOL....."you almost had a mutiny!!!"

the chains worked very well on the guantlet, until I flipped over and had to dodge moon looking to take me out as a stop sign.....:D

With a bit more speed you would have made it... next time bring your own chains!
