saggy ***

08 m1000 rear suspension saggs horribly even with no weight on it. 162 track shock pressure 145psi front preload full.Dont understand it,BrothersM8 does the samething is this normal??? thanks in advance

Does it sag when sitting flat on the ground? If the sled is not sitting flat, or you have rollers, ect under the track when sitting in the garage the rear will compress quite a bit.

Mine does the same thing, remove the rollers and put the sled flat on the ground.

Mine does the same thing with no rollers under it. 140 psi in the shock and front preload is where it was at from the factory. 200 lbs with all my riding gear on. When I sit on it, it really drops and bottoms out quit easily. What to do? Confused. Don't want to spend major dollars on it when it is a realtively easy fix. Any suggestions?

uh I don't Know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not lookin piss riders off, but open the Book that smooth talker gave you when u gave him 10g's !! If u think the way it looks in the parkin lot will get u 2 the top, well yes you can ***** about gettin put in the wrong group. Because u look as good as u think your sled does!

Huh???

Uh I've owned the sled since new and have screwed with the suspension enough and it still bottoms out easily(screwed with everything except the preload on the front shock). Question being, what will tightening up the preload on the front shock do to handling or the entire physics of the rear suspension. Is tightening up the preload on the front the only thing I've gotta do?

hey

I had the same problem on my 09 hcr last year. My float had no oil in it, which was my fault, and I was told to refill every 300 miles to maintain top performance. I also had the front zero's pressure pumped up from stock. I think it was 190, and now its 230. It dosen't sag at all now.

maybe try this

take some air out of the front ski shocks ,,reduce by 20%maybe then take a peak . that should take some ski pressure off .. or turn the springs down if you have a std .. worth a shot

What?

huh

My suspension was bottoming out real bad, and would sag when sitting on flat ground a bit. I'm 230 ish, and am not nice to my sleds. I was going to have the float revalved, but was told to try the float when theres actually oil in it. There was next to none when I took it apart. A very experienced cat mechanic told me to refill it every 300 miles, and put more pressure in my zero front track shock.

I'm new to Floats....where does the oil go?? And how much/what kind do you put in??

I also had a similiar problem with back end sagging. My sled was literally kicking me in the as$ on the trail. It was not a fun ride up into the high country and well when I got up there the suspension didn't feel right.

I took it into the dealer and the front rear shock (gas and coil shock) had no gas in it. Apparently it leaked, or was never full from purchase. I had it re-filled and it helped alot. During that time I noticed the sled was sagging in the rear.

The cat rear suspension isn't the greatest. I am looking into having the new Fox Burandt Backcountry revavle done.

I am also curious about how to fill the Fox Floats with oil?
