Looks more like 83 to me....lol. Wasn't that a fresh motor this season? How did you like the Aaen porting/head/pipe?

It was a new motor. But to be honest, I have to say it was more than likely my fault. I should of known better. I was running perfect Air fuel and EGT. I wanted a little more out of it so I threw in one smaller jet size. It was running good at wide open across a lake. I looked down and my egt's where way high. And that was the end of that.

I was happy with the power and quality of work from Aaen. But there service sucks. The lady that answers the phone is the most annoying voice I have ever heard!

Heres what I found:
Pistons got way hot.. The ring has huge pitting in them..

Ya... those look like they got a tad hot!! Have you thought about putting the dual ringed pistons in there?

no...but they have them..I stock those pistons...BJ

BJ - I just toasted a magside lower rod bearing on the weekend. I want some dual ringers, I got a guy to do my cranks here locally. I'll send ya a PM!

Unfortunatly no...need to order 1000 to get them...yea..I'm good...LOL...I use the Woessner forged piston...they work very well...have had very few actual piston related failures...BJ
