Sad day for Pink Floyd fans

Richard Wright, keyboard player for Pink Floyd, passed away today from cancer. :brokenheart:

RIP. Your music will continue to entertain people and influence other musicians forever.

Pisser:(

Saw them in '94, far & away the BEST concert I've ever been to.

RIP

I saw them in December 1987 at Oakland Coliseum for my very first concert at
age 11 and again in April of 1994. I will never forget those shows.

"Over the mountains, across the seas
Who knows what will be waiting for me?
I could sail forever to strange sounding names.
Faces of people and places don't change.

All I have to do is just close my eyes
To see the seagulls wheeling on those far distant skies.
All I want to tell you, all I want to say
Is count me in on the journey.
Don't expect me to stay."

That's sad. I love thier music. I used to listen to Dark Side of the Moon 30 years ago when I was doing stuff I shouldn't have been doing.

To this day I still have that CD in my car.

It's always a bummer when icons of their time pass on...and I'm sure he was a talented musician and all that....

But I just can't stand listening to Pink Floyd. Never liked their music.
ONLY liked one song at all and that was Money.

If you haven't yet, try their earlier stuff... they have a lot of good music, but it seems if it wasn't the wall or dark side of the moon, it wasn't radio worthy.

Some of their earlier stuff sounds similar to the way the beatles early stuff sounds...

I got them on shuffle here at work..... I forgot how good some of their stuff was..

You just weren't "smoking" enough to appreciate Floyd.

Lazer Floyd at the Planetarium was awesome, they specifically tell you where the bathroom is in case you had to puke....probably not cause of the lazers either.
