RX-1 Rear Mount - Oil Consumption

03 RX-1, rear mount stage one - Rode 50 miles used 1 qt of oil. No leaks anywhere I can see. I do see oil continually around the BOV. Is this normal or is oil getting by the seals in the turbo and blowing through?

Thanks

Check your oil return pump,it's common for the pin to wear out and shear causing a back up at the turbo, and it will push past the seals.

If I'm not wrong he has a bender stage I.

If so make sure that the centersection of the turbo is turned so the oil drain is pointing straight down. Also make sure the wiring to the oil return pump is correct and fuse is not blown. I would also wire the oil pump to the brown and white wire by the key. So when you shut your eninge down - you could turn the oil pump back on for 5-10 seconds. This would equ.the the oil preussure in the feed line to the turbo. With pressure in the feed line after shut down of the engie the oil will find the easiest way - if the oil drain isn't pointing downwards this would cause it to blown by the seals in the turbo.

Make sure your feed line has a restrictor.

Make sure you hear or see oil going back into the oil tank from the salvage pump. If that pump isn't working it'll dump all the oil out your turbo and make a hell of a mess under your seat. Mine quit working so I tore it a part and found a little piece of brass caught between the gears. Put it back together and alls well since.

Found out that the jet, in the oil line, for the turbo was a 300, 100 was recomended. Pump is working and everything looks good. Will try it tomorrow.

Thanks
