So we're here changing the shaft that runs from the secondary clutch to the chain case. It was going smoothly until we tried to remove the chain case cover. According to the manual and everything I just found online, the cover should just come right off. The fluid is drained and the bolts are pulled. The cover moves about 1/4 inch out, but stops there. The shaft seems stuck. Any suggestions?

Does this sled have reverse? If so there is a small bolt that takes a 10mm wrench to take off that holds the idler shaft to the coverwhich needs to be removed.
I doesn't have reverse.
