running with no hood

since spring riding is upon us i would like to be able to remove my hood. what does a guy have to do? oh yeah, i'm running a 2010 m8 if that matters.

U can but just dont get anythi g into the intake. Buy some light screen material and tape it over the intake before you get serious in the snow.

what about the electrical, do these things run with everything unplugged? i heard of guys hooking up a resistor but i'm not sure if it was to run without a hood or not.

I believe (99%) positive that 08 and newer are ok to run unplugged. I use a mesh hood so i made a tach bracket and i mounted some small piaa lights on the handlebars. If you do want to mount a resistor, make dam sure its not mounted on anything that will melt cause they apparently get super hot.

Been running an 08 M1000 without headlights and no resistor, no problems to report.
