I believe Snow Eliminators were the first out. Mine are 3 yrs old on my 04 with no signs of failure.
A word of advice--the foot wells of the 04 are rather small and my boots would get wedged in so I had to cut the grippers back that were in the well. On a new install, cut the grippers back before you install the Eliminators. Also, remove the rubber flap. I also cut the entire hole rather than each individual hole because I was concerned about snow getting inbetween the Eliminator and the running board = more ice build-up. They are plenty strong with no saggging but I only weigh 200# ready to ride
