rt1000 blowing secondary load fuse and not going over 7000rpm

Might be the fuse for the electric fuel pump that was added under the motor. The pump was added to "prime" the intank pump and they wired them into an existing circuit.

put an ohm meter to the pump electrical wires and all was well there. still doing it. well its was hitting 8grand no problem but the fuse is still blown, i just rode it that way. the check engine light is flashing constantly. how can i check it?

Try checkin to see if your RAVE vaulves are workin, I seem to be havin the same problem. EXcepted the fuse blowing part.

You won't believe this....

Mine did this exact thing last year and the dealer went top to bottom and checked just about everything. Then for whatever reason he noticed the tail light wasn't working, so he replaced bulb and problem was fixed. Apparently the tail light bulb was shorting out and it is on the same circuit as you secondary injectors. Hope yours is this easy.

i broke my brake light switch off on a tree branch the second time i rode this sled. it made the ebrake light stay on permanently until the other day when it started blowing fuses and the check engine light was flashing i noticed that the ebrake light was off. i checked the switch today and cut the wires off. i need to check the rear brake harness at the seat, as i dont run the rear light. ive got a new primer fuel pump to install tomorrow as think its making too much noise these days and might be drawing too much juice off the system.

any other takers for a solution to my problem.

put in 2 new relays, and an 8012s fuel pump, put in some more dielectric grease in the fuse box, still no go go. what does the secondary load circuit do? is it my injectors. could my power valves be sticking and blowing the fuse? hellllllllllllp!!!!!
