rpm falling off slightly after full throttle

Is this normal? At a stand still, flat ground, grabbing all the throttle you can, sled launches goes to 7600 rpm then drops to 7100 after 200 ft and stays there through the pull.I thought the rpms were supposed to hold on flat ground.Anybody know if this is normal? Thanks Crank

sounds like a secondary issue helix or spring what are you running for a spring and helix?

if it was running good last year for you, Put a new secondary spring in it. They sag out and need to be replaced every year id say

Sorry I have been super busy.I know the secondary spring and helix has never been changed,I did take it apart last ride of the year and cleaned it,everything inside looked good,Anybody have recomendation on secondary spring, should I stick with the stock spring?Lastly should that rpm hold at peak or drop off (full shift)

you shoud be using the red/pink or black/white secondary spring..i would snag both and play with them to see whats better for your appilcation (flat land) and use 2 derlin washer (one on each end of the spring cups)

if you have a stock helix, change it also, lots of info on this.

rpm should hold on flat ground with no addition load on motor.
