SnowHawkaddict says : "55 pounds for the 440 engine".
I say : 55 pounds sure sounds interesting to me for about 100 horses. And it probably sits lower in the frame than the 503, than the 6 or 800 hunnert as well so you probably don't even feel the whole weight of it.
Definetly not a bad motor choice if you want that race 125cc 2 stroke motorbike feeling. Personnally I went 800cc 150" track because of the terrain and the amount of snow I ride on, if I were anywhere else than western Can/US, I might stick with something smaller, shorter and lighter.
It feels like this debate could be transposed to a guy hesitating at buying a 250F and a 450F. Before saying "450F all the way because it's only 10 pounds heavier and twice the amount of HP", we should ask first : what do you want to do with it... ?
Mtn use : 800 all the way. Never forget that we loose 3 to 4 percent of your output per 1000'... that's 21% at 7000'. Your 140 HP machine then ends up being a 110 HP machine. The same principle also applies for a 503...
Sea level : Whatever you got, you'll have fun !

Additional Info: a TRA3 weight about 13.4 pounds don't know about the stock 503-600 Salad Bowl primary, probably around 3 pounds lighter.
