Rollinsville?

Looking for info on riding Rollinsville. Is there a place to turn around/park a 4 place trailer up near the tunnel? Do you unload at the base of the 4x4 road, and follow the road up towards Corona? I'm sure there is lots of slide territory at the top. Does the road up cross any slide paths?

Thanks for the info!

go for it let us know.buddy of mine ben up ther a couple times never could make it to the back. gets a little hairy in places. as far as parking i remember ther being several spots.

expert riding area, user assumes all risks, park at the tunnel and ride up the RP road. drifts the size of school buses usually with long stretches of gravel where snow never stays due to the wind.

I had a rock the size of volkswagon roll down the lower part one spring during the thaw. saw it in time stopped and watched it roll by but was that close to being a casualty.

be care, its a gem but high risk area, not for beginners...

You can normally finding park there. Did it once and never bother to go back. It is very hard dangerous riding. Huge drifts that you have to side hill on the left side going up. It’s normally tons of snow or none.

yes, did it with a 1M 900 153 efi several years ago but conditions have to be just right. that headwall slides all season long and i have been on the road around the lake and tripped over ice chunks that have been blasted out of there from avy's.

once we were on top, we rode over to the picnic tables and then weather moved in and we could barely make our way back across the top. might as well have been on the surface of the moon.

several years ago, a couple of back country skiers triggered a slide there, the one guy hiked back to Eldora wet and divers went up and got the body the next day...

gotta respect the back country. "if you listen, the mountains will tell you when to climb" Ed Viesturs, guy who has climbed everest several times without oxygen....
