rode the ears 1-23

trees

yea, I'm gettin a little tired of this deep powder.....my sled was about at it's limits climbing up thru the meadows by fish creek, trees would have just been brutal, I need a 162 and maybe shave off about 40 lbs from the midsection....by the end of the day it was starting to set up nice, so weather permitting, (sposed to be windy) tomorrow/friday could be the days....rode untracked all day, the few that were there mostly stayed on the trail, also ran out of gas about two miles out from the lot....fortunately ran into some other riders that had some...thanks

Dang that looks tasty as Gregs buddy would say!!!! lol:D

I had totally forgot about that phrase :D Funny, funny.... Have not seen him for a couple years, he probably got caught in some avy at 14,000 feet, he used to ride some crazy elevations, all by himself....

Mark you ran out of gas, you almost ran out last week too??? That engine has got to be on the edge of blowing, you need to check compression or I'll be breaking in my engine towing you back....

Yeah he wasn't the best riding partner for sure!!!

"That was tasty!!!!" After he rode my 900 cat LMAO

Don't you guys pack extra fuel?

Snowmark,

Have any problems in the deep with the M7 2005 as of late? I think we have the same sled and I'm having some nasty problems the past 3 weeks. After riding in the deep in coughs and sputters something fierce, even if I'm cleaning the intakes constantly. Then a 1/2 hour later it will clear up. It didn't do it this bad in past years. How many miles you have on yours? I remember you rode that Yamaha until there wasn't much left.

fuel

I burned 14.5 gallons......constant pow shot to the head, lots of blind ridin with a face full of snow and it was tasty, pretty much full throttle most of the time.....had to beat the ice off my helmet strap with a wonderbar at the end of it all, frustrating when you can't get the helmet off......mine bogs occasionally, I did cut a hole in the intake plenum which helped quite a bit, about 6600 miles on it

Was there too, very deep not many people,Snowmark spoke with you in Dumont lot at end of day,was on Red Dragon with the wife on 07 RMK 6,almost asked if you two were snowesters.Super pow day, best of season for me:).Wife held her own today amazing what a real powder sled can do for her.Got lots of photos but my computer skills are a little weak, someone tell me how to post and I will. Deep

Me, Paul and Ben rode up there yesterday and it was sick. We ate snow all day. That was the first time I ever rode in powder that deep. The clutches on the sleds were slipping from all the snow. I need to have duct tape on hand the next time. We had problems keeping the fog out of the goggles. We constantly had to stop and defog. Once defogged, we would take off and eat snow immediately causing the goggles to fog again. What a pain in the ***! Nothing like riding blind.

My truck was the only one at Muddy Creek parking lot. I had snow coming up over the windshield. Good thing I had power, weight and mud terrain tires. I gave Mark some gas. I am surprised the 700 RMK that was pulling him didn't burn up. Good thing that guy stayed with you Mark, or you would have been stranded.
