We went up Friday and waited in the top main lot, hoping the rain would turn to snow. It didn't and we went up doing about 1 mile of partial snow gravel riding. Once up there it was snowing hard and the wind was blowing, After crossing the snow bridge it was narrow and very surreal. We were night riding and the poor visibility and treacherous holes it was intimidating. We made it to the base lower edge of peanut.
First ride on a SnowHawk and being disoriented by weather and night time conditions we headed back.
Spent the night in the parking lot it rained/poured all night long and in the morning we headed up again.
Saturday the poor visibility and blowing snow made for poor conditions.
We made it up to Peanut and played in the salad bowl, seemed like the wind had blown the snow away. Could not see the snow, holes and obstacles were drive by brail.
The good news is this is going to help build the base. These pictures were taken during a clear moment.
I am not trying to disrespect the first post its just that when you can have days like below
Saturday was foggy and windy.
compare this picture to the Saturdays pictures and there is no comparison. The bummer is it cost the same amount of money for this Saturday as it did for the picture above.
