that is one good looking scope mount!! told you didn't i........

Got mine home today, not much done to it yet but this is going to be one coyote killing machine I can tell you that. Scott what kinda scope mount is that? I like the one piece design, I think I will need my scope mounted farther forward then most. Anyways here's mine and the scope I'm starting with might go a different direction but I already have this one so gotta use it.

I just looked into the BAD lever and I don't think it will benifit me that much since I'm left handed shooting right handed guns. Going out to the range tonight after work to test this thing out, so I will let you guys know when I get back.

But do you shoulder your rifles in the left shoulder or right shoulder?
If a lefty shoulders on the right side, then the bad lever is likely going to benefit you.

No I shoulder them on the left side. I went and put 120 rounds threw it last night and this thing will drive tacks at 200 yards.

We went out shooting for about 4 hours yesterday afternoon. I took a bunch of pictures. Finally got my 11 year old daughter to shoot the .223. She loved it.

We bought some Star Targets, those exploding ones that you mix up.
She hit a 1/2 pound exploding target jar at 420 yards but it didn't explode. I was REALLY pround of her. That thing is about the size of half a pop can. Hitting a pop can at 420yds is a FREAKIN AWESOME, IMO!!!!!

My buddy Sean snapped this one of me when we were shooting at the paddle post.

55gr FMJ. American Eagle (Federal) Tactical.
We put about 150 round through it yesterday among the other stuff the kids were doing.

We had quite the startings of a "shoots-n-fest", but we didn't burn up all the ammo. The kids got hot and tired so we bagged it about 6:00. LOL
That's what we used to call them with my grandpa when I was a kid. We'd take everything in the house, buy as much ammo as we can, fill up the milk jugs and shoot til we are out of ammo. We had 4 or 5 Shoots-n-fests a year when I was a kid. HAHA> Good times.

I sighted mine in on 55 grain hp from bear which is cheap ammo but seemed to work alright. I just know if I'm going to be shooting long range I should be looking for some better ammo. I heard that a little heavier grain may shoot better at long range, what have you experinced?

I have only shot these 55'ers so far. My scope is actually built for 55gr bullets.

I don't know how much the 65'ers would drop. I know the NATO 5.56 65 gr bullets are loaded a little hotter than the .223 55gr, so.....I'd need to see some graphs, charts and algorithms to know what's going on. LOL
