I have 08 7oo RMK. I put a mark on the primary to see if I am getting full shift out. There is about 5/8 of the mark left on schive. Should the mark be totaly gone or what. Stock sled with 19-42 gears. Can only get 7900 rpms. Gone through clutches, exhaust valves and can't find anything wrong. Clutch alignment looks perrty good too.
Thanks for input

I lighten weighs to 10-64. Now getting 8100-8150rpm at sea level. Just don't think I am getting full shift out.

In my opinion you won't get all the way out on your clutch unless you reach full speed which is about 87 MPH at 8200 RPM assuming no belt slip, 8% overdrive, and 19-42 gearing.

If you had a chance to what you felt was top speed of the sled, ie on a good hardpack run, and you still have 5/8" mark left you should gear down some more, although 19/42 is generally close. 19/43 will work well, that's what I run and you will get better overall performance in the powder and hills. Better belt wear too. If you still can't get the RPM you want, slightly stiffer finishing weight spring or two grams lighter weights will get you there. I would do them in that order for best results if it were mine. Just make sure you have a good belt which is adjusted right for tension before any changes, it's important to start with that covered because it will make alot of difference if it's off now.
