My wife rides a rmk 700 Great first sled zero issues. I did all holtz suspention,pipe/can/powder pros/ gears clutch and electric start kit it is one super fun sled to ride...period.
I also have a modded apex,and my custom polaris carbon sled. I have ridden nytros a LOT both turbo and n/a...really like them
First sled ?? Forget the nytro, get a m7 or d7...but if u really want one spend the extra coin and get the 2010...rode it last year and it is much better than the 09..imho

As a die-hard Cat rider, I truly feel that the D7 is the best over all sled on the snow. A bulletproof motor that makes great power for it's CC's, a SUPER flickable chassis, and a pretty good track that comes stock.
I can't imagine being unhappy with that sled.
And when he decides to turbo it next year....
