I just put a 155 track on a 97 RMK 700. I can definitely fell a difference in how quickly the motor spins up. Havent really gotten on to some real snow yet tho so maybe Im jumping the gun. But anyway, it seems the consensus is to re gear when lengthening a track. Can so adjustment not be made in you clutches to help backshift a little further or something. I cleaned my secondary and moved my spring one hole tighter and it changed alot. It rides a bit higher in the RPM through out the whole range. It helped alot for the feel of not being able to spin the motor up as fast but I cant help but think I may be sacrificing something else. I know clutching is a complicated science and Im no pro.
Any ideas on if this was a good idea or what would be better?
