RKT pison/head kit - Performance and Heat Issues - 12' PRO 800 Switch

What is your piston to cylinder clerance? Sounds alot like the clearance is too tight and your pistons are swelling up too much in the cylinders. Have you had the head off and inspected the cylinder walls. Have you pulled the pipe and looked into the exhaust at the piston skirts. It will still have good compression but you are creating a friction like rub between your pistons and cylinders. Check it out! It would help explain higher coolant temps and also explain why the motor isnt creating the power it should

I would say you guys are chasing problems that are not the kits fault.
Fuel filter?
TPS adjusted right?
Exh valves clean, bellows not ripped, the right gasket installed?
Exhaust donuts good?
Clutches clean, not binding, rollers, alignment, center to center and with good springs?
New belt, deflection set right?
Exhaust sensor good?

Snobyrd, how do you like your crow?:face-icon-small-ton Jk

Exhaust valves r clean with 2014 updated exhaust valve gaskets
tps was adjusted last spring, y pipe exhaust gasket new this season, no exhaust leaks,911 clutch cover installed this season, bet deflection and alignment check at dealer, only thing left is the fuel filter not changed.
This topic has been beaten like a dead horse on this forum, so its not a nnew issue.

This should not be a problem as this kit is marketed to be a drop in....
