RK TEK VS PA w/ SLP

I'm sure this has been addressed somewhere in these forums. However, looking for a summer mod on my polaris pro rmk 800. Thinking the RK TEK drop in piston/head kit or the 858 big bore and also the PA head with slp kit and pc5. Any info on these products would be great. Videos and people who own the set ups hit me with what ya think is the best. Thanks

i have had great luck and performance gain with rktechs drop in kit it really woke the sled up. i have 800 miles on the kit now and it rips. and his 858 kit is even better.

I run the PA head 13-1 and love it but I do not trust oem pistons clearance so this summer I will be switching to RKT kit .Not sure which one yet.Maybe Brad will come up with a piston to enhance his head ---hint.If Iknew Kelsey was coming out with a drop in kit I would have purchaced it just because I have checked tolerance on poos stuff before.I never leave my stuff stock so warrante is out the window.

I don't build a pistion kit and probabaly won't. I sell heads to Mtn Tech and they build a drop in pistion kit also that works great . Conatact Shawn @ Mtn. tech ,and they can hook you up. Your head that you currently have will work great with there kit.

If I decide to go with Mnt tech what can I expect for rpm.Will it increase or should I stay at 8000 to 8100. What do you recomend for top end rebuild with this kit? This question goes out to RKT also.

Treedocker - Did you only use the rkt drop in or do you have any other mods. gearing or anything and what gas do you run? Glad to hear you love the drop in as thats pry the one i'll go with. Do you wish you would of just went with the 858 and does it really rip that much harder then the drop in? Will pm you

can't speak for the drop in kit but the gain is significant going from a pa head and pipe to the 860. but that should be expected since you are gaining cc's. the pa head and a pipe is a significant gain over stock for sure.
