RK TEk Head and pistons

I am going to put the RK Tek pistons in before the new season starts. I am curious if anyone has installed the RK TEK head with the pistons and if it actually makes as big a difference as they say it does? 12 HP? Tried searching for an answer on here , but not very good at the searching.

I dunno about 12hp but its a noticeable boost in power. I could out pull 14s that were geared down and clutched with my 13 and the rkt DI kit... Etecs too, but the stock pro's were beating them also.

Ya 12hp, might be a stretch but with the 13.5:1 head it definatly has a bit more power and hasn't missed a beat yet.

My 13 has a 14.1 head in it with the SLP stage 2. It will walk on a stock 13 Pro rmk.

can you still run 91OCT, or do you have to put some 110 in it?

i have the rkt k. its adds a bit but I found it made it a little more peaky to clutch.
imho- add the slp pipe,can and pcV tune the map a little bit as its very safe and continue numbers on top end out to 8500 rpm. it likes to rev with this set up.
I ran mine with just rkt kit, dialed it in pretty good then put pipe combo on, picked up over 300rpm.

I probably could run straight 91non-eth. I'm a ***** though so I normally splash in couple gallons of 100LL every time I fill up. It's more of a mental thing I think.

I could never get by with running 91 , when I had the slp pipe on it. I had to add 20 percent 110 vp to avoid det.
