RK-Tek Clutch Conversion

I just picked up an RK-Tek clutch conversion to allow a torsion spring in the cat secondary. No intructions. Do you have to drill the clutch for the installation of this kit? I have searched the internet for instructions but couldn't find any. Any help appreciated.

can you explain why you took yours off? I like mine.

I have tried three different type clutches. RKT, Team conversion, & the stock components on my M1000. The best results that I have found is the stock helix's. Then the team and last the torsional clutch. The RKT clutch keep working and breaking off the screws on the back side of the clutch. Just my humble opinion.

On our M8 the team conversion rips.

i haven't had any problems with my bolts but I will keep and eye on them. I found with the stock set up I couldn't keep my rpms up on a big climb. With rktek my rpms stay the same all the way to the top.

What all do you have into the clutch from Team for your M8? Spring and Helix? Or more?

A stock 05 style helix with the Team spring with the conversion plate and a shift assist.

I would like to tell you what angle but it was a kit and I don't know what angle.

I road a '10 M8 this weekend and I still like the team on the M8. It flat out rips.:D

What color TEAM spring are you using and is it the reverse notch helix or standard?

same here

Good luck with that clutch. Mines sitting back on the shelf.

I have spent countless hours thinkin i have done something wrong with my kit as well, it simply does NOT work...period, Kelsey has givin me pointers but I have to wipe the burnt belt with brake clean off of the clutch faces after an hour of riding! i asked for my money back but never got a response from Kelsey....mines been on the shelf for a year.

I had a RKT set up that did the same thing twice. I changed to the D&D set up and works great. I ride a M1000 slighty moded.
