rivets

was wonderin if anybody knows the specs for the rivets used in the tunnel and the brakets and plates used underhood at the steering hoop crashed sled and need to replace the tunnel extension and some cosmetic repairs

Typically the Polaris chasis's have 3 types of rivets. A pop rivet(gold one), buck rivet, and a self-piercing. Do you know which one it is?

mainly the pop rivit the gold one but info on all would be helpful im wondering what material there made of size and length

gold rivet is a 3/16 not sure of the length. Don't buy cheap rivets!!!! Gold ones from the dealer are not that expensive.

not planning on buyin cheap rivets but have a buddy that works for fastenal and can get me rivets but need to know specs mainly material and strength of rivets my dealer never seems to have more than a dozen in stock at time and i wanna buy bulk to have kicken around i hate to not be riding because im waitin for back order rivets

You can order large quanities from your dealer. I do all the time. The self piercing would be the only ones. I have no idea what kind of tool they use for that application.

If you want specifics... MountainHorse would have to step in on that. He is the local engineer and has specs on everything imaginable.
