Riser and Bar ?????

Those of you that have changed out your riser and/or bars on the standard RMK (T-top steering post), what set up did you go with? I'm 6' and just looking for what others have done to maybe use as a starting point. The stock riser, I believe is 5 1/4" and I'm guessing the bars have a 2" rise and not a clue the bend or pullback. I've been looking at RSI products initially.

I'm 6'2 and have a 8 inch rsi riser. I do not suggest going that high if you dont need to cause its about the limit of the wires.

Rich,

My 09 has the RSI riser and RSI straight bar on it. Bought the sled with a 5" riser. I'm also 6'2" and felt it was too low. I have a 9" RSI riser coming to put on and plan on keeping the straight bars. Based upon what I measured as well, i think my cables will be ok, but don't think i could go anything more than that.

Right now, I can stand with my toes in the footwells and my arms are straight down, no bending, while holding the grips. I was thinking of the 6" riser and the taper bars having 10* bend, 0 mm rise, and 10* pullback.
Or maybe the 7" riser with the same bar to put a little more bend in my arms. Another variation would be the 6" riser and the chromoloy bar with 2" rise.
Hell, I don't know that's why I asked for your set-ups

I love being 5' 10" for this reason...the stock setup on and 09 rmk 700 is absolutely perfect for me...

when im stood straight up i got a nice bend in my elbows...

perfect

I have Pro-Tapers off an Assault on my 2010 RMK. I wouldn't want to go any higher for side hilling or sit down riding. They could be taller when I stand up, but I'm 6'5". Don't get too tall on them or you may suffer in slow speed sidehilling when the sled tips down hill.

I'm going to give RSI's 7" (1 3/4" taller than stock) pivoting riser a try, I think I can get enough slack to accomodate it. I'll keep the stock handlebar for now. If 7" is to much, I sell it and go with the 6" (3/4" taller).

Any pics of this setup? What size riser?

I got the 7" RSI riser (stock riser is 5 1/4") installed and was wondering if an extended brake line is needed.

I now have a little bend in my arms when standing. Now if it'll just snow I can really try it out.

General rule is you can go 2-3" taller than stock with re routing of wires and cables.
