i definitely need some rigid boots. i have had some for many years but they are finally wore out and of course rolled the ankle. who makes a boot that will get really tight and keep my feet under my legs? should i be lookig into snowboard boots?

Klim adrenaline boot

KLIM ADRENALINE BOOT GIVES GOOD SUPPORT AND IS ACTUALLY COMFORTABLE! GORE-TEX, LIGHT WEIGHT, THEIR ARE STIFFER BOOTS OUT THEIR BUT WE SELL HUNDREDS AND HUNDRES OF THESE BOOTS i.e... alot of the lineman in this area use these in the winter as well as contractors , excavators,etc.. for $169.99 (call hint hint) it's hard to beat....all other brands available...check out website or call be glad to help....mike

I've been trying to decide between the adrenalines and the radiums. I sprain my ankles a lot and they are pretty weak. When I wear regular Sorels, I usually end up hurting my ankles when I ride whenever I jam them from jumping or hitting a bump. I need something stiffer (thats what she said) and with more support.

boots

im thinking i need somthing more than laces and leather? i was thinking of board boots because of that ratchet thing in the ankle area and the hard plastic outer shell.
those hmk have the ratchet type thing but it looks to be way too high on the boot to have any affect on the ankle area

I am another one for Klim. Very lightweight, and warm. Deafinately stiffer than sorrels. I had a question with them after a season and half, they sent me a new pair. I am on my 2nd season with the new ones and they are holding up great.

Adrenalines or Radiums?

hmk proboas....the cable instead of laces works

does that cable sinch up the ankle area though? or does it get the top really tight then the bottom still so so tight? that cable insted of laces sounds promising.

This is a great site for DC boots. I bought a set of siloh's this year and they are great. Speed laces, great support, and you can't beat them for 40 bucks. I just treated them with sno-seal and they should be pretty much water proof.

X2! Dont waste your money on Klim boots. Ive had them all and the snowboard boots were WAY cheaper and worked better.

You might want to look at the HMK Pro Boa Focus. They have two "zones" of the boa system and are a nice boot. Very solid and with the dual Boa systems you have lots of adjustment. Kind of like a board boot but the bend is more of a snowmobile riding position, it's what a lot of the Snowcross and Freestyle guys wear.

Plus there are a few vendors here on Snowest that sell them for a very good price.
