Riding the Uintas 3/14

what the heck i swear we were there right around 245 too. must of barely missed each other. Were the three big drop marks on the big cornice, there when you were there? Just right of the main tracks up and over, where the cornice was biggest? we had to of just barely missed each other, those were my 3 drops

Yes, I think those drop marks were there. If you look at the first picture in post #5 I believe you see 'em there.

oh yep those were me. haha you must of pulled up right after we left. My dad wouldn't let me hit the cornice on the otherside of the main tracks up. we got in a little argument over it. Said he'd turn my phone off for last night and today if i jumped it! i was pissed. goin up saturday with out him so there is gonna be some craters below it then:D

I'll be there with the camera. I love capturing carnage.;)

I got a question for you guys ..

I've been riding the "Lower Uintahs" out here ever since I moved to Vernal ..

Where are you guys riding the "Uintahs" at? Is it closer to Vernal than Strawberry?

Northern Uintas. Moffit Basin, Humpy Peak, Gold Hill. We ride out from Bear River Lodge area. To the east we ride Elizabeth Ridge.
3-1/2 hours from Vernal. Not very close I guess.

Ron, we had light, dry and at times deep snow today in the high spots we rode. wow! seven of us. 4 had never been there and were blown away! great ride. actually unreal. we went deeper in past where Terri's sled broke that day. Chief is going to put his GPS stuff on a map overlay and we are NOT posting it here. lol. I'll e-mail ya and make you come one more powder day. woohoooo.

Wish i would of gone that way. Went out of N.S towards Whitney Double area. Had to stay in the trees to stay out of all the tracks. Still a good day. Man we need snow. Creeks open everywere.

Hector, I thought we'd hear from you about going today. do I need to check my deoderant? Is it a CAT thing? lol.

If there were streams open every where, You're not HIGH enough.

Temps this week should kill what little protected stashes are there. I hope your right though. Would love to have 1 more day of deeeeep.:D

How did your sled run? Where are the Pics?????

LOL. my sled ran great then... well they ran my wire harness on the pipe and melt down started. when the guages went batty and RPM's dropped I stopped, saw the problem and re-routed the wires. New harness tomorrow. I like SLC but HATE having to go back for this. Then the sucka ran! climbed like a monkey. Chief has the pictures of the 'new' look. I like it. just needs a seat re-cover in black.

this show's Phil on the hard packed corn snow. It sucks where we ride. don't go there kids. ;)

I read you were going to have a big group and we had 5 in ours. I was hopping they backed out but they didn't. We will ride again though. Now just hopping for a few good storms.:beer; Get the snow and I'll get the Crown ;)
Ron, we went to witney up to double. I'm not all that good with where is where but all around that area.

Same distance as Rabbit Ears ... I've been making it over there a few times a year since I moved here.

Maybe one of these days I'll come over closer to SLC and check it out ;)
