Riding The Ruby's May 31, Great Day With A Few Pics

I don't think it's the hot sticky thing going on because the other (twin sled) doesn't get hot and sticky. The new sled has a rolled chaincase and is 1/4" C-C shorter. Both sleds run the same belt and are clutched identical. The new sled acted fine in the powder and heavy snow but overshifts on this springtime snow. The old sled has spot on clutching no matter what conditions you run it in. I've leaned it out, lightened it up, new primary and secondary spring, I'm running on my shallow secondary setting but it still acts as if the belt is long resulting in a weaker backshift or the gears are lower resulting in a weaker backshift. I wanted to try one more thing but I don't think we can get to the snow anymore. I wanted to try go to a 160/260 secondary spring from my 140/260 but I think I've run out of snow. I'll keep that little experiment in mind for next spring, I think it'll work fine. When the new sled will hold 8,100 R's it will actually outpull the old one, at 7,800 I get left in the dust. I'm not sure these sleds are geared the same, I haven't taken a look there yet. Testing, Testing, Testing, It will annoy the hell out of me until it's perfect, then I can relax.

i drove up lamoille canyon for the first time on sunday..........wow is all i can say. what parts can you ride on? i'm definetly going riding there next year.

Did you move here?? You can ride all of what you see when you're driving up the canyon + some you cant see. There's a pass called Liberty pass that has a wilderness sign tucked away off the trail. If you go over boundaries and get caught, $500 fine.....If they can catch you.

Tim,
I was originally thinking the same thing, but then several guys mentioned the 4 1/2 year ring actually rolls down beyond the level of his eye and in the straight on photo, the horn extends below his jaw line giving him great length. We'll see if anyone can find him this season then we can put the tape to him. I hope nobody does so I can photograph him again this November when he comes out of the mountains.:)

Did anyone else notice the front left shin on one of th big boys?

How tall at the back are these. They have short little legs!!:D
What does a full grown male weigh??

When I was following these sheep around I noticed there was alot of slipping and sliding and falling going on. There was about 6" of fresh snow over some very slick rocks. Alot of the sheep, Rams and Ewes had bloody knees from falling down. I never really noticed how short their legs are but I guess they are.
