riding report bighorns

ah, i got yah, i just hate hearing people say theres no snow in the horns, but i guess the more people that say that the better riding for us right?

would love to be out there again, but between college and fuel prices, its hard to make it out there again from eastern sd

Please go ride somewhere else. The snow has to be better there:D. We got a late start last weekend and there was not even room to turn around at Granite, much less park and unload. Glad to see everyone having fun on the horrible snow, ignore all of the pictures where it looks deep, smoke and mirrors:D.

Smoke & mirrors, them pictures HAVE to be from Revy.
I've rode out there going on 10 years and have never found good snow.
I don't know why we drive 12 hours to get there every year.

I have ridden the Horns for years and just love to hear how bad the snow is and peeps always saying go "here or there" instead of the Horns to find good snow. Keep going, nothing I like better than everyone headed to Cooke or West and leave it for us to ride. We'll be there again Saturday with some new pow on the way.

Stay Home

9:35am ROAD CLOSURE Burgess Junction has been closed due to winter weather. This is U.S. HWY 14A, from Dayton to Greybull.

Better stay home! I it will probably be closed for a good month or two! ;)

yep the snow sucks so bad in the horns i bent a trailing arm on one little rock so ovenighted a new one so i could go bend aonother one up this weekend everyone should head to cooke thats where the deep stuff is!!!!!

Awesome riding here now (my opion) about 1.5-2 feet fell last night. Found over windsheild deep in alot of areas. I live here at bear and tell you what it was nuts the storm last night.

horns

less advertisement is better. There are thousands of riders watching this forum. Being a regular cooke rider, I know how bad large crowds spoil riding in a hurry. I'm trying to sneak over there tomorrow (not with a big crowd), but it looks like the Dayton highway is closed tonight.

The further south you go, the more snow. We have places (and you don't have to look hard for them) with over 6 feet!!! We're a little further south on P-trail, 17 miles from Bear Lodge. And we've got gas here, a bar, free coffee and phone. So stop by here and find some real deep powder!!!!
