riding report bighorns

Just got back last night, the snow to the north of bear lodge sucks, but about 10 miles south on trail P the riding is awesome to the west, places around 3 to 4 feet deep in the trees. They had great powder, just have to ride a ways to find it

you ride the horns often ? just wondering if you only no the areas by the trail numbers, do you no the names of the riding area Im a local jus trying to get more info. I dont realy no the numbers on the trails

I am happy to hear that the Bighorn's is finally getting some good snow. We are coming to Bear Lodge on the 27th of February for 4 days of riding. Looking forward to carving up a bunch of the back country, we all love boondocking.
Anyone with pictures of that area to give me an idea of what a good time your having now??

More snow right now in the town of Island Park then anywhere in the Horns according to the snotels. Had buddy's that go out every year to the horns and said this is the worst they have seen for snow levels at this time of year.

Yep go to Idaho the snow is so ****ty in the horns its not even worth it !!!!!!

bulls**t, the snow was deeper there this year than last year same time in steamboat, just no base.

if i did this right, here are some pictures of riding south of bear lodge 10 miles, and about 3-4 miles west on January 12th, there was some powder close to 4-5 deep
