Riding Neat Lake Tahoe

Hello,

I am in need of information about the area around Lake Tahoe in Nevada or California. I am wanting to do some boondocking and tree riding as well as some open areas to play in. Is there anything in this area similar to Rabbit Ears in Colorado or West Yellowstone? Also what elevation is it out there and do you have to do a lot of trail riding to get to the areas that are actually fun to ride? Any information would be appreciated.

Most riding is 7000 to 10000

There are quite a few places to ride.

Just an FYI I'm in the lake tahoe basin 6,200ft and we have 0 snow as of right now, the snowline the other day was right around 9,000 feet. Out in hope valley is probably good though
