Riding in Vancouver!

This doesn't happen often! Westwood Plateau roads providing a good "base" with all the new snow!

Where do you start this road ride exactly in Westwood?
How much snow up there?
Can you get back into the Coq. lake watershed area? Allowed?
Thanks.
Doug

I got to ride up and down the street yesterday and in the local park about a foot plus snow around here.

We have about 14" here in Surrey. I was out riding around the fields earlier today. Hard to believe that Whistler never got hit and Surrey has more snow! Our road is still not plowed.

Yup...about 14" or so under sunny clear skies here in Fort Langley also.
We never get our road plowed, as it is a dead end residential street.
Brought out the Doo, hooked up a sled with about 30' of rope and towed my nieces up and down the street for about an hour.
The kids had a blast...lots of thumbs up from most of the neighbors.
Got a few rare photo ops of riding in town.
A good day & great start to Xmas holidays.
Merry Christmas All. Cheers. :beer;

Rod- are those fields on your property??? I need to break in my new sled so I need to find somewhere to go. I have a park across the street from my house in North Vancouver but I know I'd get busted doing the occasional wheelie around the kids on their crazy carpets. Ha ha ha. Lets hope we get dumped on again between Christmas and New Years. Merry Christmas.

the coquihalla is good for a road ride to break in the sled. depends what you want to do. it is really hard to stay on the trail but you dont really want to break anything on the first ride....

LOL! I wish this fields were my property! I would be retiring! There is a farm on 64th that just sold their 113 acres to a contracting company. The land was recently re-zoned to residential. Not sure if I was allowed to ride there or not but nobody said anything. There is a lot of barbed wire fence so if you go out there....be careful! Certainly not worth the drive from North Van though. I booked holidays this week figuring I will be riding everyday....oh well.:(

Snow Day

Yeah how can there be so much at the lower elevations compared to the upper. Not often you see nice powdery snow in metro Vancouver. Here's some S. Surrey shots.

I just had to go for a road ride this morning as I will probably NEVER get to go from home (Fort Langley) again.
Here is a few pics we took.
Stopped at the Fort Wine Co. for a warm me up :wine: and then rode home.
We were gone for 3 hours riding the roads and ditches east of town.
Who would have thought...lol.

I went out for a ride tonight... lots of funny looks.

Could have made a lot of $ giving rides to the top of Lonsdale.

2+ feet here in N.V. Now send it up to Whistler, dammit!

18” here in South Langley, spent all day Sunday pulling all the kids up and down our rural road. Must have pissed off someone with pull at city hall. We haven’t had our road plowed in 7 years and now we get plowed three times a day. Oh well, heading out for sledding holiday tomorrow.
