In 2 weeks ill be in telluride for a week and was wondering is there any good places to ride? If so im going to bring the sleds with me. Any help would be great. How is the snow there right now?

Thin snow. I believe you can ride by Alta lakes, but I don't know any wilderness boundries there. Barlow Creek is great area, it's at the bottom of Lizard Head. You can also ride at the top of Lizard Head. I think there is a local guide out of Telluride that you can call. Telluride Snowmobile Adventures 970-728-4475

Not to rain on your parade, but I rode Barlow area last weekend and the snow around here is melting fast, 60 plus degree temps for almost a week now. The snow down low is rotton, you can still find okay snow up really high in the trees, but this was a low snow year for the area. Most of the people I ride with said it was there last ride unless we get a bunch of snow. There is a few places to ride from Telluride, Like stated above, The side of the road with lizard head mountain is Wilderness, so no legal riding, the other side is legal. Most people ride Barlow Creek, which has a huge amount of riding on both sides of the road, on the east you can go all the way to Durango Mountain resort, on the west side you can go all the way to Lone Cone mountain, and Norwood, it is a huge area.
