FYI for the guys running on the rich side with your turbo setups. You better keep your oil changed! I ran pretty rich on the first couple oil changes and there is defiantly some fuel wash getting to the oil!!! (been changing it pretty frequent for my sanity!! Oil is cheap insurance!)
Can anyone step in and let everyone know what fuel wash is??????? Hammer probably already covered this in the past!!!
Just thought I would warn the guys that are running rich and not changing there oil very often. Fuel in the oil is not good on your bearings!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My observation of the oil is if your running rich combined with the heat of the turbo it doesn't last even 200 miles. I am running Redline oil now that is made for turbo applications. First couple oil changes were with Yamaha 4S.(Doesn't hold up to the heat!!)
I think your nuts if your not changing the oil every 300 miles of so. It sure doesn't look or smell good (almost burnt) if you leave it longer than that!!
Change it often = cheap insurance!!
Just my opinion........Lets hear yours.....
