RG TM925 Misssing/RPMs

I recently built a 925 turbo sled. I am unable to build any boost over 8lbs psi even when I put the ebc at 12lbs. It is missing bad on the top end and I am not able to gain any rpms over 7700 and sometimes it is even lower than that. I am running a boondocker race gas kit. I am only running 79g weights, and that is what I had in it with the STOCK motor and it ran great.

I had to back my Boost High numbers down from stock to get some more RPMs, and I should need more with this big bore.

I need some help here guys, I am lost and really need this thing to run better.
Lots of bottom end but that is it.

Exhaust valves?
bad injectors?

I don't believe is the issue, I know I am light right now, but it should pull that weight easy. I had that in there with a stock RG kit. Light weight will not keep it from pulling the RPMs, if anything it will over rev. I am working with RK and he is going to make me some new spacers for the Exv.

You will need more weight once you get it running better. Boost leak? power valves sticking or out of adjustment?to much fuel? weights on your primary sticking or the center set screw has backed out so weight does not swing properly???

I would be looking for boost leaks, and also at the primary clutch for junk rollers/weights. I have trashed some rollers in the past, and it made the sled feel like it was "missing".

Does your miss sound more like a over rev limiter, stutter?

If so I experience the same thing with that same year pipe on my non-HO TM8. We changed all kinds of things(including turbo) and finally found out that I was running too light of a weight(82 cutlers). That pipe(and maybe ECU/EFI) were acting like a rev limiter. The tach indicated 8000 to 8200 during the WOT stutter, but when we put in 87 gram weights it indicated 8400 and the stutter was gone(thanks OVS).

It went against everything I ever learned about clutching and what to expect from light vs heavy weights.

I have been told that one particular TM925 liked the non HO pipe better, but have no first hand observation of that?

Good Luck
