Rexburg motor sports idaho

Interesting..........

As Bubba said, in 4 years of business there, i have rarely had any negative issues. When I have, i fairly discussed it with the proper people, service, parts or sales and it was ALWAYS resolved to my satisfaction.
I have owned 13 sleds and been to 8 different dealers where I have lived. I rank Rexburg Motor Sports as one of the top I have ever done business with, why, I dont know, I am no-one special, but I treat them with respect, ask fairly of them, don't try to hide something I DID, and don't use profanity at them. Many times I have waited there while some jackazz punk swore, screamed and belittled the workers there like it was their fault, one jerk happened to bring his XP in with a primary clutch that was in pieces but he was still riding it, and blames the service people!! That dumazz knew damn well and good what was wrong and then played dumb while pinning his XP WOT and then blames the service department for his stoopidty and wants the service people to go get a full clutch off a floor model for him, WTF!

I sincerely believe one of these responses to this thread might be that jackazz.

My point is, you treat them fairly, and you will receive the same.

Sure they as all dealers get duds as employees, but I see the management as extremely proactive as is evidenced by their change in employees, and the betterment of the new employees. This happens with all such huge dealerships.

Bottom line, I rate Rexburg Motor Sports as one of the BEST snowmobile dealers around.

I also have alot of horror stories from RMS.. Had a buddy take his Apex in for motor work second week of December last year got it back the last week of May! What a way to ruin a great snow year. Good thing he had a backup Cat 1000 to ride. Or how about this one. I took my brand new Sportsman 4 wheeler to have the instrument pod replaced under warranty because it was already broke. I droped the sled off with 24 miles on it. Two weeks later and numerous phone calls they finally called and said it was done. When I picked it up I was so mad I loaded it in my truck with out even looking at it. After getting home and cooling down a bit I went out and looked at it and noticed my cable on my brand new winch was F***ed up. When I turned it on to run the winch I noticed the odometer read 76 miles.. After numerous calls to the service manager about this I finally drove back up there to confront him. About the time I was going to jerk him over the service counter he finally admitted one of his mechanics had used it to go and retrieve some of his buddies up in the mountains and used my 4 wheeler because it was the only one with a winch installed there. Needless to say I have never set foot in that place again and I make sure to tell everyone I know to steer clear and take their buisness elsewhere.

wow that story is just immoral

I happen to ride cat, three dealers are located within 45 minutes of where I live, I pass one of them on my way to a fourth dealer another 30 minutes away. The dealer takes care of my sled, treats me like a valued customer, and bends over backwards to keep me on the snow. His dealership doesn't look like much, in fact the building is a $h!thole that probably should be demo'd, but his overhead is low and he works extremely hard at taking care of his customers. RMS has a nice building, last time I was in Rexburg I stopped in and checked it out, but a nice building doesn't mean much when you have a broken down sled and your buddies are on there way out to hit two feet of fresh powder. I don't have an opinion on RMS they aren't in my area, but if a dealership is too busy to take care of your needs than be proactive and find one that will take care of you. Times are tough and there are alot of good dealers out there that need your business, sounds like RMS might not be one of them. The cheapest price isn't always the best deal, I too have learned the hard way. JMO

p.s. Rexburg may have weird liquor laws but the town is home to some of the nicest people in the world

It's sad to hear that more people have had trouble with this place! They are reading this @ RMS and maybe it will wake them up to change the way they have been doing business!!! My buddy spoke with them today and they were supposted to call him back by the end of the day to resolve this matter! Guess what, NO CALL!!! I think they owe him for the damage to his sled and money back on the labor! Hope I don't have to tow him out this season because of it!

I seriously doubt that!!!!

I never once went in there and raised my voice or used profanity to them...... I clearly explained the problem, told them what I expected, and went on my way....

It does not take a rocket scientist to know that an 07 XRS has clutch problems, and everybody knows how to fix them under warranty (just like BRP recommends)
BUT, when you get your sled back and all they did was adjust belt deflection and set your clickers to 6 (WTF!), and on top of that, Charge you $117 for it, I would conclude that they don't know what they are doing, and they don't want your repeat business.

EDIT: I have purchased 3 atv's and 6 sleds from them over the last 3 years.... I don't expect a red carpet rolled out when I show up, but it would be nice to be recognized when I walk in to the service area.......55K in toys over 3 years paying cash.... I would go out of my way to take care of those customers! But now it's too late for them, You can only chit on someone so many times....I recommend Island park adventures..... Ask for Ken if you want your sled setup the way it was meant to run!

My biggest regret with RMS was that I was too business like. I wonder if I would have caught some attention with a little cussing and fist pounding but I doubt it. My final minutes in the store I was promised that they would cut me a check for the $120 nitrous install refund for a nitrous kit that was already installed. They pulled the bd box and had it reflashed, I had the honor of paying for the reflash and the $120.

Check is still in the mail.

Dissapointed every time, no more.

It's already been said but I'll offer my "amen brother". Parts department: three orders in a row either wrong item or after a few months it never comes in. Sales department: tell you anything to get a sale and the promises keep changing whenever you try to close the deal. Very happy I never took the hook. Service dept.: after everything else.....I'm not that stupid. I have a great dealer now just up the hill in Island Park. Best mechanic in the area, clutch guru, fair pricing on new machines. What more could I ask for!

I have had nothing but problems with my sled that I bought there. I wont even go there again. i lost the motor 2 times last year and both times they told me a week or two weeks and it would be done. But both times took a month and i had to call them every day to ask how my sled was doing. I will still go there to buy a small parts because they a local. but i wont buy a sled or bike from there ever again period.

Don't know why but this stupid thread has me baffled, I've called people I know that have a little more knowledge of or have dealt with them and they have by and large echoed the sentiments of this thread. The dealers I don't buy from aren't that bad they just aren't as good as the dealer I deal with. So If a sledder lived in rexburg where should he go that is better and why. Like I said previously if they don't need the business what ski-doo dealership does and why are they better than RMS. I don't do doo so I don't have an answer but let's give some prop's to some good dealerships. Anyone?

Star Valley Ski-Doo in Thayne, Wy. I drive 80 miles to do business with them every time.

when we were importing sleds last year, I called and peronsally talked to the owner/manager and was referred to one of the sales managers to purchase 10 sleds at a time. needless to say we purchased 68 snowmobiles for importing and not one of them came from RMS. Not because i had a problem with them, I just never got a phone call back from them. I still can't believe it.lol

I guess my buddy is having a confrence call with the powers that be @ RMS today! Sounds like they are kinda mad about this thread! I think they want to maybe make it right with him! HOPE SO! I'll let you all know how it goes for him. I would like to write something good about them! Crossing my fingers for him!

Ok guys! I guess I have to give RMS some credit! THEY DID THE RIGHT THING! I guess this worked! Good job to the manager for setting up this call and stepping up and making up for what happened. I also want to thank everyone that left a comment good or bad! It's people like us that can make a difference. Again thanks to RMS! Maybe they will be more careful in the future. =)

I doubt that....

this thread will die and move back page after page, and soon enough people will forget about it.......but one thing for sure, RMS service dept. will continue to be the shining example to companies wanting to learn how NOT to operate:(

You sir, are a dope. Its people like you that cannot see what is fair and just, and prefers only criticize other's, or a business, or a "figure head" of some sort, just to be rude and hear your own jaws flap. Methinks you wouldn't change your mind even if you voted for Obama, and once he took office, disarmed us, let the Taliban in and made us all wear robes, and you STILL would not think you were WRONG.

Give it a break guy, you just like to throw stones.

RMS is a stand-up exceptional dealer.

Well Slim you obviously are one of the few that feel that way about RMS. This thread was started and opinions asked for. Just because you don't agree or have a personal reason to feel differently doesn't mean that other people's opinions should be trashed. I also have no use for RMS based on my experiences with them. I have no reason to trash them or you for that matter but I do have an opinion, same as you. As far as RMS being an exceptional or standup dealer......I never saw it and now choose to spend my money elsewhere.
