Revy

Rained down low last week....a little new snow up top. Warm conditions over the weekend....powder was like riding in wet cement. Heard that there were several avalanches, including a big one at Turtle. Looks like spring is about 3 weeks early out there this year.

rode eagles yesterday, it is very close to boulder (can see it).
BIG powder and many BIG avalanches.
don't come without ALL avalanche gear and some training!!!!
ride smart and safe so some locals like myself don't have to be traumatized when we have to find and dig out the lifeless body of a brother sledder(sorry, still getting over the last one). in fact if you guys are inexperienced in the mountains and all have beacons and can use them, I would tour guide! drop me a PM if you want to take me up on my offer. there is some wicked deep boondocking to be had and some hills have slid eanough to be safe.
be safe, be smart, and above all else, come home!!

Anyone able to say how the trail is from the parking lots at Boulder and Frisby? We aren't up there till April 9th are we going to be on rocks and mud for the first part of the trail???

I would also love to know what it's like from the parking lot at Glacier House. We're coming on the 30th. We're staying in Revy and would like advice on where to ride and unload from. Previous years we either stayed at Glacier house and rode from there or trailered to the parking lot and unloaded and rode up the mountain to ride Frisby or Boulder.

Was there on the weekend. I thought the conditions we excellent. Did nothing but lay new tracks all day on saturday. Stayed at the glacier house and rode right from the cabin. Lots of snow. Wont have to do any mudding just yet. Cheers

Great thanks for posting. I hope it's still like that on April 9th. I think next year we'll go at the end of March instead.

Want to ride sale, what about logging? If the logging is still ongoing what is the road like and if its plowed, can I pull a 4 place up to 6 km and park safely. Need to talk to someone in the know, or directions on who to talk to.
Thanks

just got back last night from riding Boulder Wednesday, Turtle Thursday. We had one of the better rides of the year 1.5-2 ft of fresh snow in places and clear blue skies. I think I'm going to sell everything I own, move to Revy and become a sled bum:D!

just got back from 4 days at gh, trail up frisby was good, 2 ft of fresh on thurs!!!

cut across trail from gh to boulder is horrible,

How is the trail up to boulder from the parking lot? Is it still hanging in there? I'm hoping so still 1.5 weeks before we're there.

trail from the parkin lot up the hill is good, groomed, the parkin lot is bare, gh trail up the hill is groomed, parkin lot still had snow, kirkup trail up to the end of loggin road is real rough, trail up the bottom of the creek was ok

Great thanks!:beer; I don't mind the bumps as long as there is some snow on the ground at the bottom them I'm happy.

The trails on Boulder and Frisby are still being groomed 6 nights a wk. from the bottom. Streeter St. (connector trail from Boulder to Frisby) doesn`t have enough snow on it to groom anymore. I think you are talking about the trail into Turtle off the Kirkup being rough, we don`t have a management agreement to be able to groom into this area. Been trying for 3 yrs. now.

Hey PP,
Are the grooming to Peaks still????? We are invading Revy in one more sleep....half the crew is already there.

:beer;
