first off, i apologize for this post. i'm sure i've seen these questions a thousand times just never took the time to really read it over well. anyways, a buddy is coming out from oz and a few of us are planning a revy trip the first week of december. i'm looking for recommendations on places to stay and where to ride. not sure if a guide is in the budget but we'll see. tagging along with someone from the lot is alot cheaper.:D also sold my spare and his sled so the ozzy will be renting as well. gonna need help there too. thanks.

I hope your buddy has experiance or at least a strong back as usually at that time of year the snow is over the hood deep powder. As far as renting as sled I know there are a few places in town to rent from just not sure who they are as I don`t rent.Check out the sticky thread on accomadations as that list should be getting bigger as the season gets closer.
If you know any snow dances now is a good time to start that also.

Mark shade rents Ski-doo and Randy rents Cat and Ski-doo out of the Peaks lodge. Both would be a much better choice then glacier house.

thankyou all for your posts. i did notice on another post alot of complaints about glacier house so i'm looking in to the peaks. which area to sled do you recommend. i'm sure for the beginning of december it will all be better than whistler. thanks.

There are so many nice places to sled in Revy but the easiest to get to is Boulder mountain or Frisby. Both are large areas with warm up cabins and are within 5 minutes from town.Frisby is real nice and I sled there lots till the caribou closure and then when they reopen it in the spring.

why is it i see lots of posts on glacier house and peaks lodge and no others? i have no problem just trying one out but a friend said online there were many complaints about peaks. (tourism site or something). the sound of riding out from the lodge sounds pretty cool though. is there secure sled parking or do you load/lock them on the deck at night? thanks again for all the replies and info.

Days inn, best western, powersprings, super 8, glacier house, peaks, hillcrest chateau, revelstoke lodge, monashee, couple other ones.

I have stayed at them all but typically stay at the days inn or revelstoke lodge.

Range is 80-150+ at night. Some have resturants or close to them. Some have pools. I prefer the outside hot tubs. Nothing is far in Revy. If you want close food, bar then stay downtown. If you want to be closer to the hill .........well you get the picture. Again nothing is far in revy so it doesnt really matter. If you plan on stumbling home from the bar then pick one downtown because the cab system sucks!

Cost of everything has gone up alot since the skiers moved in but it is still semi-reasonable.
