Reverse or no reverse ?

I'm looking to buy my first Nytro, wondering if reverse is a big factor. I have'nt had reverse in 6 years ( M7 rider ). Let me know pros & cons if any. I intend on the turbo install for next season. thanks Mark

I never had a sled with reverse. I wish my current sleds did have them though. It's nice to be able to back out of some situations. Moving around in the yard and in and out of the trailer would also be nice. The added weight is really a none issue unless you are one of those guys that removes decals and glue to loose weight.LOL

I'm looking at a 08 without reverse. My main concern was with the turbo power exploding a gearbox ? I know nothing !

Get the reverse. When I got my first Nytro in 2008 I got the non reverse model because it was lighter. When I got the next sled, I made SURE it had reverse. You won't notice the weight and backing off the trailer or out of a sticky situation pays for itself over and over again:face-icon-small-hap

Thanks, my 2 stroke buds won't want to touch the ski loops or the bumper. ( until I tow their broke down sleds out )

take 10 minutes to shovel (with your shovel not just stomp around) once you clear the snow around they turn fairly easy.

How much weight does the reverse delete save? Do you have to go with a shorter chain when doing this? I may be removing mine, so just wondering what all is involved.

I see that you are from Western Washington. You may want to call Anthony at Ride Motorsports in Woodinville. I was in there a week ago and they were really aggressive with their pricing.

Prices are getting so low that you may be able to get a new Nytro + the turbo for less than the Nytro's MSRP.

Ride and I-90 Motorsports are owned by the same guy. It may be worth your while to call them too.

I would start with Anthony at Ride. He is a really a good person to deal with (he manages that location).

Feel free to tell him Joe Snell recommended you. Not sure that this will help but it can't hurt.

honestly i would not even consider a nytro without reverse. it makes loading and unloading easier, it makes getting the machine out of the garage easier, it makes everything easier. i am a lightweight fanatic but some weight is worth it, your back will thank you. i think the guys are also right about resale because as much as i like the nytro i would not even consider buying a machine without reverse. NEVER AGAIN

It is a good deal. Reverse can be added. I personally took it off of mine. Didn't like all the extra stuff and have always gotten along without reverse. Plus I am big and strong and don't mind the odd lift and push.
