Ski Doo makes a nice accessory set of scratchers http://store.ski-doo.com/product/0/860200444/_/Ice_scratchers for the XM/XP. After putting them on a XP I wondered if they will fit the REV. After completing the installation on a 2005 rev I can confirm with very modest engineering they do indeed work on the REV. The only thing you need to do is make a spacer to adapt the holder bracket's attachment point on the tunnel (where the wire is held up in the non-deployed position). Everything else is very straight forward.

Timely post, thanks, as I have the factory Doo scratchers on my 2014 REV XP and they work great--so I was hoping they fit on my 04 REV 154 2.5 skid/track. Looks like drilling the hole in the right place in the drop rackets to be the only negative--and the price:face-icon-small-fro

Scratchers

Drilling the hole is no big deal, use the template with a 10 MM bolt inserted. Orient the template accordingly. Right now most Doo dealers will give you a deal as they have plenty of stock and its the end of the season!

Check out the scratchers Doo has for the '15, much simpler and more effective mounting farther forward.
I have heard of the mounting bolt on the style being shown catching on trees and snapping the bolt, damaging the susp bracket. They would be great on a trail sled IMO, but too much protrusion can be a issue if you ride tight trees.

Bolt

We have not experienced that failure. The bolt does not extend beyond the rail edge. Anything can be broken, odds of this one breaking are fairly low, IMHO. The rail mount units are also not available until this fall, so this is a good solution for today.

thos things are moronic. i have seen to many xp/xm drop brackets break stock to want to drill a hole through them.

also sean a set of them smeared over like winterbrew was talking about.

Cool idea but overpriced and the lost strength in the flimsy bracket sucks. there new ones look like a LOT Better idea.

ORRR you can do what I started doing and cut the locator tab of the tip of traditional scratchers and the rib in the rail holds them in place, but if you backup they can spin. still chance of breaking them, especially on hard surfaces but helps save them, especially when out riding if they fall down.

the ICE STORM reversable scratcher was a hit this year IMHO...
the 2015 scratcher looks promising for ALL sleds, especially 120/137s where there is no room for the std scratcher...BJ

I stow mine away in the trees--I don't go fast enough for them to splash the snow in the skid and the snow is usually softer there as well. I'm gona wait till 15.-thanks for the warning.

Thanks for the good word on my Reversible ICE STORM scratchers! I did have some issues with my spring steel supplier this season. I have been using the same supplier to bend my wire since 2002. Half way through the season they tried a different process which caused a indent in the wire which did cause some breakages this season. All has been rectified now.
