Av gas in a boosted nytro ?

Just an information post here. We are carrying 100LL Av Gas in stock at the Shop for those who require it. Bring your own jerry cans for fill up. I am paying $1.88 per litre and selling it for $2.00 per litre, not a get rich program, more of a convenience for our customers.

I always thought we were not to burn av gas in our boosted nytro ( MCX) because of the lead content. It had to be race gas.
Am I wrong and got something mixed up ?

Most race fuels have lead content, whether it be VP, Sunoco, Torco, Unocal etc. In fact some of these suppliers do not even have a race fuel that is lead free. Chances are... if the fuel you burn is blue, it has lead content!

Our Sunoco 112 has lotsa lead in it and it works great in the turbos here. I think it tends to fowl pluggs a little faster than pump would, but other than that, we have not had any issues.

Leaded fuel

No probelms with leaded fuel, except that it builds up on O2 sensors and renders them useless in a short time. However, we usually carry Decalin additive to counter the lead build up issue. It is a product used in the Aircraft Industry for the same purpose, to reduce lead build up.

Also, back on track for this thread, we did NOT get 40 cm's of fresh snow as forecasted. Only received about 4" of fresh overnight, more forecasted all week.

I will spending a month in Revelstoke beginning January 10th and would like to hire a guide to show me around.

14-20 inches of fresh snow. Overall snow pack could definitely use more a lot of the creeks are not filled yet. Rode Caribou, 51, Sale, trails were really rough. All 3 days overcast, did some exploring but low light and lower snow pack didnt help. When the sun finally pops will be some decent riding.

Was snowing very hard when we left, highway was icy/slushy. Drive safe.

We just got back from 5 sledding days around Revy. Constant snow, only 2 hours of daylight in 5 days riding. The snow is piling up but still shy of prime riding. Still some land mines out there. The best we found was 28" to 32" of fresh. Deep Deep Deep In the trees, watch for stumps in the cut blocks, but it is getting better.

Always more but it has been snowing and snow for next three days, now hope you can see or have the skills to be in the trees. You will find great conditions, better than most places right now.

We are 100% new to the revy area, but looking to come out Feb 7-8th.

Where would you guys recommend a person go. Not looking for anything crazy or super technical as my dad will be wore out too fast. Just want some nice open/tree'd areas with good snow to open the sled up and play around.

If you are new to riding Revy, you can not go wrong with riding Boulder Mountain. It has it all from open areas, great tree riding and all the challenge that anyone could ask for if you are seeking some thrills.

Hopefully by Feb 7/8th we will have some fresh snow for you.
