Rev steering column strength

Hey guys, iv had my rev for just over 2 years, last i had was a polaris edge,
Has anyone ever broken a steering column at the bars? Just wondering how much they can hold up to.

Thanks
Harry

I broke some ribs on my bars a couple years ago. It bent the steering post and I had a helluva time getting them straight again. They are tough!!!

Same deal. I had my old man who is about 260 hanging off one side of the sled. I had a punch with a 6 foot extension and I was bouncing on it. I had to bounce on it probably 40 times to get it to move the 1/2" I needed. You will never damage that post pulling on the bars. Lol

If you're hard on sleds I would strongly suggest the extra steering column support brace at the bottom from the race sleds. I have them on both my Revs. The actual column is tough as others have pointed out; it's where it mounts in the bulkhead that it needs more support.

Have FUN!
