rev (rebiuld)

Depends, did it get the ring update? I rebuilt my 01', almost same motor, and found that I probably would have been coming home on the end of a rope! Check the cylinder walls for the Nic. mine was worn through at the top, millenium gave me NiCom, supposidly better, no issues so far, and I'm running RKT replacement dual ring pistons, working great so far, about 500 miles on set up. Tear the head off(easy), and check your Nic. situation, and look into the exhaust port, give you a good look at the rings. Check cylinder pressures, look up in manual. All I can say is it's a lot cheaper to do it before it blows than after!

i had 3900 miles on the same sled when i had a ring spin. i think you will have ring problems before cylinder problems. the ring locating pins are small and will fall right out or wear off and let the ring spin and catch exhaust port.
