Rev overheating at idle

Idled my 07 Rev for 15 minutes today (forgot to shut er down) and it fully overheated, coolant overflow, hot rad, temp light blinking. This can't be normal is it? It was 10C outside. Did it twice 2nd time was short ride on driveway. Have I got something going on? (first 2 starts after fogging engine)

Um well that doesnt sound well. My 07 would keep over heating when i rode it. Next ride BOOM. she blew up on me. Maybe if you can pull off your y-pipe and head off and look at your pistons see if there is any damage.

I'm not surprised at all that it overheated, 15 minutes is a long time with nothing to cool it.

sounds to me like a bad thermostat, in my 06 i removed it and pluged the recirculation line. RKT recomended it and it worked great. don't know about the 07 though
