Rev. Limiter on 1100?

At what RPM does the limiter hit? When I crack the throttle on mine it stutters then quits I think it is hitting the rev limiter its a 2013 M1100 turbo at 1200ft

Don't know what you got but that doesn't sound like the rev limiter. I kept hitting it last year with the mds weights I put in only to find out that cat had routed their stock brv hoses wrong. I think its 8300 or 8500 not entirely sure though.

With a more free-flowing exhaust, it is normal to hit the rev limiter.
Stock the rev limiter is set at 8300. Companies like EVO, D&D, TD, JDP etc. can reprogram your ecu with a higher limit, aswell as higher boost.
If you ease into the throttle, does it still quit?

The stock rev limit is 8300, the evo programs are increased to 8500. There is no reason to rev this motor over 8,000 rpm. You can hit the rev limit really quickly if you aren't clutched right.

yes I went and tried it and I am hitting the rev limiter but that is at 1200 ft so i should be better out west
