Rode RE hard last week, awesome as usual! Little nippy, -38F one night but snow was exceptional in the trees. Also would like to give a shout out to the road crews keeping the pass open/safe and the lots cleared, those guys & gals do a stand up job!

We rode RE on friday.
rode up by teal lake in the tree's then shot back down. went in on the lower road, almost around to the middle parking lot, and back. Had a great day, not alot of fresh pow But it was Fun in the trees.
The trail had been groomed.(like a three lane hyway !)
only saw two sleds all day.
MONDAY will be the day to hit it again. :face-icon-small-hap

How in the :face-icon-small-sho are you guys starting the sleds in that temp, at 5 above the whole sled pull back with the cord:face-icon-small-fro take two men and a boy to pull it over, or :face-icon-small-dis maybe i'm just a wuss:face-icon-small-con:face-icon-small-sad

Yeah it was only brutal cold for a couple days, didn't go out 'till afternoon on Tue. I believe, temp. went from low to around 5-10 below by then so, not too bad. Left on Fri. but we were thinking 'sure would be nice to bust it up' as we were leaving. Did hear that the cold snap might help kill off the pine beetles descimating so many trees, so that's good! Overall, the mountain usually claims a few sleds but this year she let us out w/all machines still operable in our sub-group anyways. Forgot to load up some 'cold ones' on Thur.(altitude sickness?!), otherwise it was mission success. :face-icon-small-coo

Unfortunatley I don't think it matters how cold it gets. in Alaska we get temps of 20 to 30 below at the cabin quite often and it hasn't killed them yet.
