Replacing Idler Wheels??

I need to replace many of the idler wheels on a 05 M5 as economically as possible. Does anyone know of any aftermarket sources for the plain black ones? The dealer only sells them with the bearing. The bearings are good but the rubber on the wheels is beat up and Im trying to save a couple bucks.

Also anyone done a 2 wheel kit and have some spare (green) back wheels they want to part with? The closer to BC the better.

Any help is appreciated

Mike

The wheels with bearings are cheap as it is. Replace the whole assembly and keep the old bearings as spares.

Do a idler wheel delete kit. If not I have a set of idler wheels and a set of rear wheel. Only problem is that they are orange.

I highly recommend NOT doing the BDX delete kit. Do a search and you'll see why. Junk!

I bought a set spares off of e-bay for my 06 which had the front wheels with the brackets and the large rears for less than $40.00. Dude claimed he was upgrading to a kit of some sort. Just keep watching the bay !! >>>>.

Look into using the new idler wheels from the 2010 lineup. They appear to be more durable. Hopefully they will just simply bolt right in there. We have gone through tons of idler wheels over the past few years. Glad to see that they changed them this year.:)

Did a couple searches didn't find anything what should I search for. Now you have me curious if I should be worried. Had my kit on for 2 years now no problems. I'm I missing something important?

Dennis Kirk, Shadetree, J.R. Grahm and a few others have aftermarket wheels and bearings. If the wheels are worn out, the bearings are not far behind.
