Ok OK... Now my two cents. First off I love my Snowhawk. and this forum is a nice place to get info and chat on related items. I voted NO on changing the name I have no problem with some of there post and don't expect them to run away. But like the originals of this forum when the crowds get bigger get your own forum until then welcome to the SNOWHAWK forum. As for the bash on bigtruck or whatever his name is. Its OK to come lurk and as you have seen we are also passionate about our machines as I'm sure you are. Just remember that you came in our back yard so don't be upset if we defend our spot in the winter Hobie. And if we ever get a chance to meet or go riding I would be honored to help get you unstuck by pulling on one of your TWO SKIS. :)

A D has vision? No, 2Moto has vision. A D is blindly following in the conversion market. They are talented engineers no doubt. If they really had vision the original hawk would still be available and not in "give me 20K and I'll build you any sled that doesn't cost me more than 5K to build" form.

Back to the original topic of this thread, keep it Snowhawk. I frequent the other forums when I'm curious about the other brands.

Sorry about the rant, been a long day at work after an extended vacation.

Chris

i guess when the 600HO came out it retailed for less than 9k according to this website http://www.amsnow.com/sno/default.aspx?c=a&id=1153 why they more than doubled the price in 3 years is beyond me. what a stupid idea. have they never seen a basic microeconomics supply/demand graph.

Funny thing you pulling on my "two ski's" is that you would be to tired from walking up the hill to actually be worth a darn helping me get unstuck!

You guy's have fun in the flats or on your hills while I go play in the mountains!

I'm not on the slope. I work down the inlet at the best kept secret in Cook Inlet. I'd be would tight if I still had to work up there. My riding area.

wow i'd like to ski down that ridge, then get on a snowmobile at the bottom

Interesting read.

Ran into a guy in town 2 weeks ago at a gas station who had one. Found out he doesnt live far from me. I asked him how he liked his hawk, said he loved it. Told him to bring it by next big dump, id like to ride it :) Said he'd ride it over on Sunday after the snowfall. Guess he only lives like 3 blocks away.

Hey bigtruck look at where ibbroken is from, There ARE NO FLAT LANDS in the Great state of ALASKA.

Voted No.......but I welcome all folks who what to come and be a part of the forum. Once the "snowbikes" have sufficient numbers it would be natural to have a "snowbike" or conversion forum.

Just my $.02

Rage all one skiis

I hope people that aren't sure about how they feel about the conversions and all the new excitement on the forum realize that if the explorer kit doesn't make it a great machine and lots of owners will suffer in the end. If Boivin doesn't profit with there new product they might say hell with it and close the doors, that would mean no more hawk parts and by by to possible 2009-2010 new hawk buyers, after riding a conversion one will know it is not as rad as hawk but darn fun in its own ways, especially if all your buddies have one and it is then real competitive riding. After a year or two on the explorer I garantee people are going to want the next step up,( the hawk) This would mean alot of sales for Boivin in the following years and the reintroducing of the hawk. I think with time most off road enthusiasts will be on a some form of one ski in the future. As far as the forum name getting switched I think snowhawk should stay and conversions should enjoy the forum name the way it is. Remember go big and show some good pictures on this forum, I want to see some new action. My eyes hurt from all the reading.

Please report back, try to get some substantial time maybe trade off from Hawk to sled to catch your wind, common for newbies to fight the machine. Get him to show you where he shines on it.
If you find yourselves in an open area with some good powder charge into a turn throw it over hard while pinning the gas.:face-icon-small-hap

for the love of SNOW HAWKS!!!!nothing better than dragging the bars and getting a face full of snow, then realizing you didnt crash and just keep on rippin'

nothin against cailin, but i think we need a more "natural" guy for president...i vote for tlkd, check out his graphics !!! and his hair.

he reminds me of this girl at the local pizza shop, janna. she has the sickest dreads! all sorts of cool colors mixed in..

I hate being the odd man out!:face-icon-small-win

Oh, and by the way. For the winner that left me negative rep. You need to actually be able to leave rep in order for it to affect someone. LOL!!!
